The Utility of a Tag
A tag is a really, really old test. And this is a test from like the early days of hospital medicine. It measures how long a clot takes to form and then how strong of a clot forms. So guess what that means? They clot quickly. They clot quicker than the average Joe. But then there's basically what you're going to see when they do form the clot that it's going to be kind of a low amplitude on the curves with a thromboelastic gram. That tells you that they don't form very strong clots. They form weak clots.And so that's why I don't put too much stock in tags because they just really show the
