A Clockwork Orange - A Review
The most difficult scenes to shoot were the ludovico treatment sequences. Mc dowell's eyes were held open with clamps as alex watched the violent films used to purge him. In a very take with no cutaways, they hold alec in a trough filled with dirty water. The actor playing the provocator stamped too hard and broke his ribs.
