COMPLEXITY

CHAPTER

Speculative Biology and the Multi-Component Approach

I'm curious what constraints would have to be lifted mechanically in order to offer a much, much larger individual organism than anything that we see on the planet today. And then in terms of design, you know, new forms of life, for other worlds, I mean, obviously gravity is a constraint available free energy as a constraint. What within the organism itself do you see as something that could be changed on Earth's surface to yield like a Godzilla creature? Yeah, so many answers to that. Choosing to put everything in a liquid medium is another thing you could do to make really large organisms.
