The Importance of Leather in Fashion

I made three pairs of shoes, two bags and two coats from a bullock. I used the horns from the bullock to make the buttons and I used the bones to turn into buttons as well. And so I was invited to this conference to talk to a collection of farmers and growers from the area about what it's like to work with leather. The chef there was one of Sarah Grady's best friends and overheard me sort of babbling away about traceability and leather and farms. She had had her own questions around what was happening with the hide and went on her own journey to try to see how she could connect that part.
