The Prisoner's Dilemma Game

There's no one obvious best strategy for how you should play the repeated prisoner's dilemma game. So theory doesn't give us an answer, so we decided to gather data. We reached out to about a dozen academics who had actually worked with the prisoner's limb and published papers using it. I call that the shadow of the future, the idea that the future can affect what you're doing. That reminded me of computer tournaments for chess, where each player is trying to devise a computer programme strategy to play as well as possible.
