Argument Matrix

An argument matrix is a conceptual tool for thinking about what it really means to know what you're talking about. You start building an argument matrix by looking for arguments in favor of a claim that offer reasons to accept the claim. An objection is itself an argument. The conclusion of the objection is that the argument you just gave is a bad argument. Now if you want to defend your original argument, and if it's a defensible position, then you need to come up with a reply to the objection. That reply will be another argument.
