The Lutheran Church History
In terms of the Protestant world, there's really one book of church history. Johann Lorenz von Mosheim wrote this in the 19th century. He was friends with a lot of the German Enlightenment folks. And so he writes this, it's translated into English first by a dissenter in England. The main textbook that's going to be used for a few generations in American centers.
