The Effects of Diet on Cognitive Function

A study of more than 66,000 older people treated in VA hospitals showed that patients receiving intensive treatment for hypertension were more likely to experience heart or kidney problems. The authors conclude that physicians should not automatically treat elevated blood pressure in hospitalized older patients unless there's a compelling reason to do so. A modified Mediterranean ketogenic diet might be more helpful than a low-fat American heart association type diet.
