Can You Form a New Voice?

If you have m a strong voice, it's something where you would be able to have a conversation. Can someone poke holes at a particular discussion without you running on the defensive? Can you hold your ground, but also be open and willing to listen? Also, how clear is your rational as youare going through this? Similarlyw if it's something that it's evolving as some one elseis presenting a different point of view, are you able to absorb and be flexible and nimble)?
