Thousands of people showed up in Union Square Park for a giveaway hosted by the hugely followed streamers, Chi Senate and Phantom. The Verge's Jay Peters says he thinks it just spiraled out of control because there were too many people who all wanted to see what was going on. Shares of Icahn Enterprises plummeted today after the firm slashed its dividend in half to a dollar.
