On Christmas Eve of 1826, at least 70 West Point Cadets got rip-roaring drunk on prohibitively alcoholic eggnog. They broke windows through furniture, shattered plates, and tore banisters from stairways. Alcohol was strictly forbidden at West Point in the early 1820s.
