Solar Wind, Geothermal, Nuclear, All to Generate Electricity Without Burning Fossils

The IPCC, the world's climate watchdog, says we need nuclear to limit global warming. Nuclear power right now generates about one third of the world's carbon free electricity. A lot of other sources of renewable energy like solar and wind in particular are what's called variable energy sources. There's no long-term storage for large amounts of energy created by solar and wind to use on a rainy, windless day.
