The Judiciary Crisis in Israel
In the last seven days, you've probably seen the biggest ever series of protests in Israel's history. Everyone was striking trade unions, universities and even the military reservists are going on strike or refusing to turn up for duty. And this is all about Benjamin Netanyahu's proposed judicial reforms. A huge number of centrist secular Israelis see that as a fundamental threat to democracy. It says something important about Netanyahu himself and his weakness in the face of growing body of hard right supporters.
