Introduction
Dr. Sasha Deutschlink is a Co-fellow mind in the UNC Gastroenterology and Hepatology program. She has a strong interest in the intersection between addiction medicine and gastroenterology. There's been a movement to really change the way we talk about substance use disorder and alcohol use disorder as well as alcohol-associated liver disease. Words like alcoholic or addict are considered stigmatizing language.
