The Girl's Voice Saying Hi

Marina heard a young girl's voice right next to my bed say what I heard as hi. The only thing we could say to make us think it wasn't a ghost was that hi is an English word. How many remaining in ghosts would be speaking English? This is where the story again takes a bit of a turn. Is there someone out there who can get Google translate up on their phone?
