The Importance of the 1967 War in Palestinian Nationalism
The Palestinian National Movement had been in the doldrums after 1948. It gets a boost from the 1967 war and the PLO emerges. And it marks the absorption of what was formerly British mandatory Palestine under Israeli control. What has developed since 1967 is a one state reality, including both area of Israel as it was at the end of the 1948 war and territories that occupied in 1967.
