Religion and the Black Death

Mediaeval societies verses a deadly, contagious disease caused by an invisible bacterium. How will these religious organizations and authorities respond to the black death? What chance do they have? And so in this episode and the whatever episode or episodes follow it, i thought we might get into that a little bit and talk about how imperfect societies respond to what isn't very well understood.
