There is more recognition of the disease, but there's also an irrational way that services are provided by the state. If child in california carries diagnosis of atism, they are entitled to specific services. But it gets to the weird point of you could have a more specific diagnosis on the child. So again, that puts a priority on understanding the genes first. Even if you believe that the environment is the importent, and i know that that epidemic can't be changing that fast, gens do not change that quickly.
