The Origins of Creationism
Augustine's Confessions was written during the Late Antique period. In it, he discusses creationism and angels. He argues that since time means physical change, there was no time before God created the world. Angels were important to Augustine's imagined pair of cities because in his imagination they were first denizens of the celestial city.
