The f t c announced that it has filed a lawsuit against idaho base data broker kochava for selling sensitive and precise go location data within meters. Kochava is one of those companies that collects location data and sells it to pretty much anyone who's willing to pay the subscription fee. Such a system would likely lead platforms to set up elaborate age verification systems for every one, meaning that all users would have to submit personal data and submit to more corporate surveillance.
