David Levitt and Nicholas Rossi: The Sheriff's Collusion

David Levitt was elected in 2018 and is very conservative, though he's being called the Chasa Vudin of Utah County for his slight reforms to cash bail. The sheriff Mike Smith gives a press conference that same day denying these claims. David Levitt mentions that the sheriff was colluding with a man named Nicholas Rossi. Nicholas Rossi is a convicted sex offender who faked his own death in 2020 and moved to Scotland. His story is a lot more insane as we covered on the previous and perhaps future episodes.
