If we want to reimagine, reconstruct the food system, we need to accept more responsibility and be less passive in the production of food. It's very easy to get lulled into a sense of despair. We've been persuaded to despair. But that's because we don't understand how quickly things can change. Societies are also complex systems, and they also have tipping points. The tipping point seems to come much closer in a society than it does in any other complex system.
