The Consequences of Bamboo Production

Just because bamboo grows fast does not make it a miracle crop. Most bamboo products are imported from Asia where increased demand can lead to deforestation and other unsustainable practices. Using all that bamboo into all those products means going through the typical manufacturing processes which involve plenty of additives and hazardous chemicals. The FTC in a bout of cleverness had a warning for consumers. Don't get bamboozled.
