Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov: Pentagon Threats to Deliver a Decapitation Strike Against Putin
The Russian Foreign Minister said on Tuesday that statements made to the media by anonymous Pentagon officials amount to threats against Putin's life. So it seems like Lavrov is referring to a report from Newsweek that was published back in September. The fact that US military officials are discussing such a plan to the media is extremely provocative to Russia, even if they are speaking on the condition of anonymity.
