The Big Bang Theory of Cosmic Microwave Background Radiation
In the seventeenth century, scientists thought that nature was governed by fixed mathematical laws. A lot of scientists are now atheists and don't believe in a mathematical god holding and sustaining the eternal laws of nature. Many scientists take it for granted - but usually because they haven't thought about it. In 19 66, as a result of the discovery of the cosmic micro wave background radiation, the big bang theory of cosmology became orthodox. And that gives us a radically evolutionary view of the universe.
