How Did William James Study Mediumship?
In many cases mediums do not have any financial gain or even prestige. William James dedicated 30 years to study of mediumship and he investigated a very famous Bostonian medium, Miss Leoner Piper. He was deeply convinced that she was able to produce something that could not be explained in a regular way. That's interesting because I often think of James as working on religious experience and these kind of issues and psychology and philosophy. But I often forget about his fascination with mediums.
