The Future Free Speech Project did a survey of attitudes towards free speech in 33 countries around the globe. And I think the US came in at fourth, whereas the Nordic countries sort of generally outperformed. You can make some general differences depending on culture, for instance, between countries and the degree of tolerance for speech.
