Is the Body a Hindrance or Not as a Partner in the Quest for Wisdom?
Strong body, strong mind. It actually reduces the distractions to be fit. You know, being fat can be very distracteg. Hard to be a philosopher if you're gluttonous and in pain all the time because you're so unhealthy. I think this is in the same dialogue. The soul of the philosopher utterly disdains the body and flees from it. And then the mind, reasoning, contemplating itself. That's the only way that you can get truth.
