The Art of Hoarding
The difficulty of hoarding is that within families and within relationships it can people pull in different directions. Freud may have been a hoarder himself yeah well he certainly had a collector's instinct that the verged on the hoard I think at times he describes having to move stuff off the couch before people can lie on it. The kind of aesthetics of hoarding also undergo real changes in the 20th century and make it less acceptable to fill your house with junk or indeed with stuff knickknacks.
