Is a Nucleotide a Nucleoside?

The building blocks of RNA and DNA, well, they're made from amino acids and sugars. So there's a kind of a conserved universally conserved structure to all of metabolism. But the genes that apparently encode this metabolism are different in bacteria and RKN,. It's the same, but there's these two fundamental domains of prokaryotic life which diverge very early on. The chemistry is universally conserved, but the genes are not. This core of metabolism starting with CO2 and hydrogen going into Krebs cycle intermediates, into sugars, into amino acids, into nucleotides.
