The Evolution of Neanderthal Genes
People of European, Asian and Native American descent have between two and four percent Neanderthal DNA in our genes. A lot of these genes seem to be related to the immune system which makes sense because Neanderthals and Homo sapiens were perhaps separated for 500,000 years. The closer one gets to the equator, the more of the sun's energy reaches the earth.
