Introduction

This week we're going to be looking at the Banshees of Inassurance by Martin McDonum. It was very interesting watching the Golden Globes with this film up against everything everywhere all at once, right? Such an extraordinarily complicated movie. We're going to talk about some of the more complicated elements underneath the apparent simplicity of this script. The piece as a political allegory for the Irish Civil War and the Troubles in Ireland that took place after it.
