I Love Myself
Growing up in Australia there's this thing in Australian culture where it's like not okay to like yourself. So much of our sense of humor is just like self-deprecating and I think the idea of saying to myself I love you makes me so embarrassed, she says. "My natural inner monologue was just self criticism constantly" She adds that her therapist has a 25 pronged approach: work out, take medication, spend time with your dog every day but affirmations are really hard for her.
