Butler was a former police chief in the city of philadelphia, New Jersey. He is known for his use of militarized policing to fight crime and insurgency. The book also explores how butler came to be seen as one of America's most dangerous men. Butler died last week after being shot by an assassin while trying to protect President Obama from assassination.
