The Importance of Head and C Spine Scanning
Older patients are more likely to fracture their C spine in even the most minor of traumas. High cervical fractures like type two O'Dontoy, central cord syndromes they're more frequent in the elderly too. Dr. Tillman: It's hard to identify an older adult who needs their head scanned and not their C spine.
