In the case of China, I think that he is right to an extent, at least in the demographic front. He's obsessed with some sort of fanciful ideas of breakaway republics within Russia. On a racial level, on an ethnic level, they are majority ethnic Russian. The regions where there is not an ethnic Russian majority or massive plurality, there happens to be a large Russian military presence. In the populations there are already pretty small.
