Love Is the Universal Principle That Guides the Conscious Universe
Love is the universal principle that guides the conscious universe. Buddhism advises against reifying this principle as a god with a capital G. As far as Buddhism is concerned, the law of karma is impersonal. It's like the law of gravity. These are not commandments. There is no call for obedience. The emphasis is not on right or wrong. And you can see a thread going through all the five precepts from non-harm or loving kindness through to mindfulness. And that thread is love.
