Congress is pushing a bill that will end the authorization for war there. For more than 20 years since passing these AUMFs, those in power have stretched and skewed their original intent. The original intent was to allow the United States to go to war against Iraq. But 20 years later, Iraq's pretty much our ally. Nearly every president we've had since this war began in 2003 has ended the war in Iraq; it's still not really over.
