Nicholas Durgen was interviewed by Val Medermud for a Newsnight programme. She says she feels things are going backwards in Scottish politics. The author, the crime writer, wonderful crime writer came to know Nicholas Durgen just after 2014 when she had been interviewing Val about a new book at the Edinburgh Book Festival.
