Is the Fiscal Theory of the Price Level the Answer to Inflation?
John Avlon: If we could bring back Milton Friedman, he would have upshined all of us for sure. He says if the government drops $5 trillion from helicopters, you're going to get inflation. But almost all inflation has been caused by governments printing money to finance deficits, Avlon says.Avlon: I hope he would come to this as his conclusions, because it's philosophically very much Milton Friedman.
