The Practices Don't Always Work the Way We Want
Senario: The practices of jesus don't always work. They aren't formulaic, and that is a good thing. If they were, our relationship with jesus would devolve down to a transaction. There's no command anywhere in the bible or the fast book to do this weekly date night. But overtime, it has a cumulative effect that adds up to a net positive. And you know what? Sometimes it's amazing. We go home just thinking, man, i feel more in love now than i can ever remember 16 years. In other times, it's not like that."
