The Power of Disappointment
A lot of the work i've read on disappointment is unparenting, surprisingly. Like parenting and leadership, as you know, there are very similar skills in a lot of ways. And one of the great things about disappointment is it communicates extremely high expectations of the person but also makes it clear that the behaviour fell short of those expectations. It seems to work in kids and adults because it makes them feel guilty. I think guilt gets rap. It actually does a lot of good things. Ace, catholics a really into what you say.
