Perhaps Walt Whitman was right when he said, "That the powerful play goes on, and you may contribute a verse"? This notion, however, raises so many questions: Do we even have a purpose or is life merely random? If we do have one, how do we find out what it is? How do we prepare for it? And once in it, how do we deal with practical issues like money? In this episode, Robert and Emily share the Course's teaching on life purpose, which it calls our special function. They share the Course's answers to practical questions on this topic, along with some of their own experience being called to fulfill a function that was different than either one had planned, yet in the end was far more rewarding.
