The History of Rison
Ehrlich stumbled upon the possibility that you could build up an immunity to Rison and other toxins by feeding animals tiny doses over time. In parts of India, farmers had been doing that to their cattle for hundreds of years. Other medical uses of Rison, not just castor oil, were developed as researchers learned more about the mechanism of action. During World War I, the US looked into using Rison as a weapon, a bio weapon.
