Getting to Know the Experts at a Conference
When you go to a conference where you don't know anybody, the first thing you do is find that either the person who invited you or probably the one person you might know. Same thing with working on a new team or in a new space, find the expert and that and befriend that expert. At least invest in one as a starting point, anchor for yourself because i have found that to be incredibly valuable.
