It was, in tull's words, qote, accident, not choice, that made me a farmer. He seems to have resented needing to hire people to do anything. So san foin is a legume that was grown for forage. And at this point, san foins seed was almost exclusively imported to england. This made it expensive and kind of hard to get. In toll's experience, once a farm er did get it, a lot of it just did not sprout.
