How I Implemented a Garbage Collector for GHC

Jaclyn: I had always been sort of fascinated by storage management, but really had never worked on a garbage collector. We proposed concurrent collector, but there was other avenues you can take as well to reduce that sort of latency variance. So we merged in, I think, 2019 it was. And if this project has taught me anything is that, you know, systems can be very horribly wrong and yet still limp along.
