The Importance of Stewardship in Antibiotic Use

This is the first time I've seen this in a non-COVID study just as a hazard of trying to evaluate any kind of impact of antibiotic use and then having these data be so striking. We are all pretty comfortable at this point that these new agents are fantastic and far better than best available therapy that we had before. The low risk patients what treatment they got didn't seem to matter as much but in that high risk group our sickest patients that is where having the AVICAS these newer agents on board was far superior to having best available therapy.
