High intensity interval training is defined as getting your heart rate up to 80, 85 % of max heart rate. It can be anything from 15 seconds to four minutes based on literature. But generally speaking, if you look at the literature, you can call something high intense, thy interval training. And again, it was using evidence base fitness as a label to dunk on people while fully contradicting and misunderstanding the totality of evidence.
