The Role of Content in the Growth of a Business

In 2006 or 2008, even into 2010, you probably could create content and that alone differentiated you from most of your competition. That is no longer the case today. Creation is not even the minimum bar. It's just table stakes. The challenge of the current digital marketing environment is that you are constantly competing. Even if you have no direct competitors for your product or service, you are competing for attention with tens of thousands of other publishers and creators. Quality is unlikely to be what differentiates you. You have to look for other tactics, positioning uniqueness of character, uniqueness of the approach of the contents format,. Having a unique opinion, having a creating conflict, having being willing to make enemies.
